At First Sight: Things Recruiters Notice About Resumes

Have you ever wondered how recruiters look at resumes? If so, a Facebook recruiter gave an awesome response to a Quora question on this very topic. Her response was so awesome that Mashable picked it up and turned it into an article. Most of what’s on the list is spot-on, so I encourage you to check it out. It’ll help you understand where you should and shouldn’t be spending your time when updating or crafting your resume. Just to give you an idea of what to expect, the top five things she looks at on resumes are: most recent role, company names, overall experience and progression, keywords, and gaps or periods of unemployment.
